Prerequisite coursework includes at least one year of calculus, one year of organic chemistry, one year of physical chemistry (or general chemistry), a sophomore-level cell/molecular biology course, and research experience in either an academic or industrial setting.

The admissions committee reviews each application holistically, considering many factors which include GRE scores, GPA, TOEFL scores (if applicable), letters of recommendation, research experience, and performance during an interview (in person or by phone).
